The Garrisonville Historic Mural

MURAL STATS: 98 FEET LONG BY 12 FEET TALL

This mural frames Garrisonville Elementary School’s memorial garden. It celebrates the life of Gwyneth Griffin and her caring/compassionate spirit. The large flowers symbolize strength and healing. While the three envelopes floating through the scene give information about Gwyneth, Gwyneth’s Law, and the garden’s intention. It was funded by Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation, The Stafford Museum and Cultural Center, The Stafford Education Foundation, and the Garrisonville Elementary PTO & Staff as a way to celebrate and build community awareness of local history in Stafford County Public Schools.
