This painting felt effortless. I didn’t struggle with my choices. I just kept on painting and enjoying the progress along the way. Unlike my last painting, I decided to work from large blocks of color towards more refined areas of shape and values. By doing this, I was able to add detail and emphasis to areas I wanted to highlight. I chose to work with a cool color palette with little pops of warmth. I love the way it turned out.
